OTA DVR Users Will Be Able to Install Apps Geared Towards Smaller Screens
SAN FRANCISCO—October 29, 2014 — Nuvyyo, the makers of the Tablo Over-the-Air antenna DVR, today announced that it will release downloadable web apps for iOS and Android smartphones in the coming weeks. Tablo users will be able to download the apps directly to their smartphones from the Apple App Store and Google Play store. Tablo customers with tablet computers should download and use Tablo’s current native tablet apps.
Since the OTA DVR’s launch in May, Tablo users have been able to discover, record and stream HD quality television programming from their antenna via smartphones using the Tablo web app (my.tablotv.com). With the addition of these smartphone-specific web apps to device app stores, users will more easily be able to manage and watch content on their Tablo DVR from anywhere in the world. Links to all Tablo apps, including the new smartphone web apps when they become available, can be found at www.TabloTV.com/apps.
“While our users have been able to enjoy content on many devices using Tablo’s web app, we wanted to make it even easier to access Tablo on the screen our customers carry with them everywhere, their smartphone,” said Nuvyyo’s CEO, Grant Hall. “Now they’ll be able to navigate to the Apple App Store or Google Play store and easily load a web app for Tablo directly on their phone.”
The team behind Tablo will be in San Francisco, CA this evening demonstrating the Tablo OTA DVR at the Pepcom Holiday Spectacular media event.
